Emily Marrs (née Hoyt) is a writer, editor, former educator, and former journalist, who has worked at multiple New England newspapers and publications as a reporter, copywriter, copy editor, and page designer. 

A synesthete with an inclination toward all things creative, Emily loves to find new ways to solve old problems. She believes writing is the ultimate tool for connection and communication, and employs a style that is nuanced and poised, and adaptable for target audiences. 

Additionally, Emily has taught journalism, literature, and composition classes to students at the middle- and high-school levels, as well as college composition courses at Great Bay Community College, as an adjunct professor. 

Currently, she resides in Massachusetts with her family.
